Interview with Kathy & Ryan
What do you remember thinking the first time you saw your partner?
Ryan: Oh no! She's too beautiful for me... I'm the catfish.
Kathy: We're just going to be friends.
What is something small the other person does that always makes you smile?
Ryan: Always wanting to hold my hand when we're in public. I like that.
Kathy: He tells me he loves me more when we both know that is not true.
What is a memory from your long-distance period that you still think about often?
Ryan: Seeing Kathy at the airport was the best part of the first long-distance period. That or the one time we tried to do our own Bible study.
Kathy: This wasn't when we were long-distancing, but when we were first dating. He farted, and it sounded like he was saying "huh?" So I asked him, "what?" and it was a cycle of "huhs" and "whats".
What makes you feel most loved by your significant other?
Ryan: A big Kathy hug after a long day.
Kathy: When he mentions me in a reply to a question I have for him, even though the question has nothing to do with me. When he gets me a cup of water, even though he is all ready to go to bed.
How are you similar? How are you different?
Ryan: We both have bad eye sight and are nerds. Kathy is adventurous with food, but I rather have meat and potatoes
Kathy: We both love days in bed and doing nothing. Ryan has really long legs and can run super fast; meawhile, I have a long torso and short-ish legs, but I am adequate in speed.
What are some things your partner does for you?
Ryan: We both have bad eye sight and are nerds. Kathy is adventurous with food, but I rather have meat and potatoes
Kathy: He changes my screen protector on my phone. Also, he opens the door for me. He tells me he loves me more when we both know that is not true, and he loves to call me.
